Workplace lighting is one of the basic criteria for ensuring safe and hygienic conditions in the work environment. This has been taken into account for decades, to provide comfort and optical performance for common visual tasks and for computer screens.
The updating of this regulation affects the actors in the lighting sector in different ways (luminaire manufacturers, designers, laboratories…) and may lead to changes in the way of approaching projects, designing products and, as a consequence, an improvement in the conditions user lighting.
A new information day will be held on May 7: New UNE standard for lighting in interior workstations (UNE 12464-1: 2022)
It will take place at 5:00 p.m. in the Auditorium of the Col·legi Oficial d’Enginyers Industrials de Catalunya (Via Laietana, 39, 08003 Barcelona), with an approximate duration of 1h 30′. The same day will take place in Madrid in the following weeks. We will keep you informed of the date and place soon.
It will explain the most important aspects of design in workplaces, as well as the most important novelties of the new regulations: the consideration of the singularities of LED technology, the new conditions for the consideration of glare, the affectations of the effect flicker and review of the different tables.
