Objectives of the collaboration between Asselum and APDI
The recent collaboration agreement we have reached with APDI will be very positive for the professionals in the lighting sector who are part of it, as they will have an exclusive catalogue of measuring equipment to which succulent discounts have been applied.

What does the collaboration agreement consist of?
The equipment in this catalogue has been carefully selected. They are equipment that designers need for measurements, depending on the metrics and magnitudes that are used when carrying out a lighting project.
The most commonly used magnitudes are
- Illuminance measured in lux
- Luminance measured in cd/m^2
- The correlated colour temperature
- The colour rendering index (Ra)
- Flicker and stroboscopic effect
- Glare, e.g. UGR or Gr, etc.

About Asselum and APDI
We join our functions as a testing and calibration laboratory, in addition to being a supplier of measuring equipment, to the work of APDI, consolidating the role of the lighting designer, by giving him the equipment he needs to carry out the precision measurements necessary for his projects.
About Asselum, photometry testing laboratory
Our photometry testing laboratory, founded in 2002, is characterised by its catalogue of services aimed at companies and professionals in the lighting sector. It also includes photometric and colour tests for all types of lamps and luminaires, as well as photobiological safety tests and luminous flux maintenance or useful life tests.
We also offer personalised training services in lighting technology and the distribution of different laboratory instruments for testing products and lighting measurements related to the lighting sector.
About APDI, the Professional Association of Lighting Designers
APDI is the platform that integrates and defends architectural lighting design professionals in Spain. Founded in 2008, it is an independent, non-profit organisation that functions thanks to the voluntary and altruistic work of its members, and whose resources are dedicated to the different initiatives that respond to its founding cause: to create collective awareness of the culture of light and to disseminate the independent practice of Lighting Design.
To this end, it carries out representation work for professionals in the sector and different activities aimed at supporting and raising the profile of the profession. These include those aimed at the training and professional development of its members, as well as improving the quality and efficiency of lighting design, promoting collaboration between professionals in the sector, promoting a regulatory framework and disseminating the importance of good lighting in everyday life.
