Photometric catalog management

Our MDA Service (Mass Data Algorithm Service) addresses the need to manage the photometric catalog in projects involving multiple configurations of luminous flux, electrical power, CCT, and Ra for a single luminaire. We consolidate the data into a single photometric file and a single comprehensive test report accredited by ENAC.

A comprehensive photometric catalog accredited by ENAC

MDA Service is built on several pillars that enable us to characterize the entire luminaire and provide all configurations in a single photometric catalog accredited by ENAC or a European equivalent.

The Three Pillars of MDA Service

  • First, we conduct the necessary tests and calculations to characterize the entire luminaire and create a catalog with all its configurations. All tests and variations can be included in an ENAC-accredited report detailing all power ratings, luminous fluxes, and different CCTs.
  • We consolidate all configurations, along with their respective variations, into a single photometric file in OXL format. This allows us to subsequently automate the lighting calculations and catalog management.
  • We optimize road lighting calculations using Litestar 4D Road Plus software. We automate all road sections and calculate the optimal optics and luminous flux package for each standard road section.
  • Based on this comprehensive analysis, we improve decision-making by identifying the optimal photometric solution while considering lighting requirements.

Bulk Generation of Photometric Files (LDT and IES) and Data

If you want to use other software, such as DIALux and Relux, MDA Service can be used to generate the entire photometric catalog in one go and provide all files in LDT and IES formats, as well as the data needed to create catalogs, ERP systems, websites, technical data sheets, etc.

Why choose MDA Service?

  • We streamline the creation of the photometric catalog by generating it in bulk.
  • We include all variations and configurations in a single ENAC-accredited photometric report.
  • We save time and costs by eliminating the need for individual testing for each luminaire configuration.
  • We optimize lighting projects and decision-making in the calculation of public lighting.

Is MDA Service suitable for manufacturers with their own laboratories?

We also serve as a partner for manufacturers with their own photometric laboratories. In these cases, we use the client’s test results or photometric files to automate, optimize, and leverage the lighting data in the catalog. We combine the flexibility of having an in-house laboratory with our expertise and automation capabilities.

Litestar 4D Road Plus, the tool for automating and optimizing road calculations.

OxyTech’s Litestar 4D software, with the Road Plus module, allows for the automatic calculation of multiple road sections, as well as the optimal configuration to achieve the required lighting level.

All of this is possible thanks to the inclusion of the luminaire’s dimming curve in the OXL file, allowing the software to calculate the luminous flux or driver dimming required for each system to comply with lighting regulations.

This results in significant time and cost savings during the project’s design phase,

as multiple simulations can be performed quickly.
