New Update: LITESTAR 4D Version 8.01
We are pleased to announce the availability of the long awaited version 8.01 of LITESTAR 4D, the reference software for lighting design and product data management, developed by Oxytech. This update is designed to improve the user experience and optimise the functionality of the software, allowing designers to create more innovative and efficient projects.
News from LITESTAR 4D v. 08.01.000
The new version 8.01 of LITESTAR 4D incorporates significant improvements that optimise both the usability and technical functions of the software.
LITESTAR 4D
- Linear Duplication function: It defaults to the last value entered, making it easier to create scenes.

Import of swap filesThe function to import TTL files from TechnoTeam goniophotometers has been added.
-
SpectraA module for radiometric evaluation of spectra has been added, with specific analysis of different bands.

- Batcher Plus
It includes the ‘Create Files’ function to generate LDT, IES LM-63, IES TM-33 UNI 11733 and OXL from OXL files with currents, defining the flux, power and current step. The file names include the sum of flux, power and current, and different photometric and photospectrometric files can be selected.
Bug Fix: Fixed a bug in the calculation of the SHR (space to height ratio) table for the values of 0.5 and 1 in the UGR.

The **Create Files** function has been added to generate LDT, IES LM-63, IES TM-33 UNI 11733 and OXL, from OXL files, defining flux, power and current step. The file names include the sum of these values and allow the selection of different photometric and photospectrometric files.

The dimmer management has been updated to proportionally adjust the flux and power between 0 and 100%. When importing an OXL file with flow-power curves, the dimmer is automatically disabled.
Automatic Energy Label Calculation according to Spanish RD 1890/2008
The automatic energy label calculation tool complies with the Energy Efficiency Regulation for Outdoor Lighting Installations in Spain (RD 1890/2008 and RD 18/2022). It automatically analyses energy consumption and roadway lighting, generating the energy label in accordance with current regulations, thus ensuring that each outdoor lighting project complies with energy efficiency requirements.
- Roads: Incorporation of the CIE 140-2019 standard and a suspended row of luminaires on the live carriageway has been added to the list of configurations.
- Calculations: The function to calculate RGB values in the grid for all planes and surfaces has been activated, showing illuminance without considering reflection, while luminance is included.
-
-
- IPD (power density) calculation: Implementation of IPD (power density) calculation for various room surfaces and virtual floor plans.
-
- Roads and tunnels: Incorporation of the calculation of the contrast revealing coefficient.
-
- Results
Focus display on screen results and printouts has been added. The programme removes values under furniture and surfaces in contact with the ground, and displays specific power density results and contrast revealing coefficient tables for roads and tunnels.
- Dxf export
The DXF export function has been improved, allowing to export the legend of luminaires, to represent different types in different colours, to modify the nomenclature of luminaires by linking them to the legend and to add focus.
- Prints
The printouts have been modified, improving the graphic appearance and the organisation of the tables. Functions have been introduced to print groups of luminaires of the same type with different settings. The display of results has been adjusted and the index management has been optimised. In addition, the Power Density (DPI) printout for various surfaces and virtual planes has been included.
- Road Plus:
Introduces the management of Spanish regulations (RD 1890/2008 and RD 18/2022) for public lighting.
