BHA-2000 Blue Light Danger Analyzer

The danger of blue light B (λ) and some other photobiological hazards have been involved in the latest edition of the luminaire standard IEC 60598-1, as well as other horizontal product safety standards, which were subsequently transferred to mandatory standards in many countries. The luminaires will be marked if they use light sources that exceed the limit of the RG1 unlimited group. Portable luminaires for children and night-time plug-in lamps must not exceed RG1.

It covers the wavelength of 300-700 nm, and can measure the retinal lesion of the eye. The methods of evaluation and classification of B (λ) are presented in detail in IEC 62471 and IEC / TR 62778. The weighted light intensity LB and the blue light danger efficiency KB are adopted as the main indices for B (λ).

Traditionally, photobiological safety of lighting products is evaluated in a dark room with a complicated and costly measuring system, such as the OST 500/300 optical radiation test system, which is generally applied in professional laboratories.

For a high efficiency, low cost but accurate measurement of LB and KB, v, the Retinal Blue Light Danger Analyzer BHA-2000 is specially developed. It adopts the radiance geometry according to IEC 62471 and IEC / TR 62778. The software can analyze the KB, v, and determine the maximum LB at a requested field angle of the lighting products to accurately evaluate B (λ).

BHA-2000 has a compact size and this equipment with a touch screen for operation and readings, therefore very convenient for quick and accurate measurement. It may be applicable for not only the quality check and the R & D laboratories, but also the measurement in the field.

Characteristics:

  • Measuring range: (300nm-800nm)
  • Retinal risk by blue light B (λ), LB light blue LB, blue light danger efficiency KB, v, etc.
  • Chromaticity characteristics (Color temperature, IRC, etc.), luminance and luminance distribution
